Iriver h140, Music stops, buzzing sound happens
« on: July 04, 2010, 03:16:49 AM »
Hi I have a iriver h140, with bootloader 7 pre4, and the latest rockbox build.

What happens I go to listen to music, and the songs play fine, but after the third song, the song stops, and the sound of a buzzing noise is heard, it is very loud.

(If i turn off the player and back on, and the song resumes the buzzing sound is heard again)

I can skip the song then the buzzing sound disappears, any ideas?

I know its not the flash card, cos I have tested it with another, plus with the original hard drive and they have the same problem.

is it always the same song? sounds like the file is corrupt

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.

If you change back to HDD and then switch to OF, does this happen again?

I need a modified original iriver firmware, as i wrote the rockbox firmware to ram.

Where could I get the modified file, its not hosted on rockbox because they say its illegal to have.

Seems you don't have the bin backup for the previous one.

You can find restore method under this link:http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/IriverFlashing
But I did not try this before. Per the statements, you need have the OF HEX file and change the ext name from .hex to .bin and use iriver_flash to restore the critical section to OF.

I can tell so far by now, good luck bro.

I tried what you said Jay Solaries, renaming the .hex file to .bin, and when i try to flash it, i get a message saying, "Not an original firmware file".

Hellish, you should decode the OF at the first place that i almost forgot telling you. Then flash it to your iriver ram.
