SOLVED Fuze v2 Bricked

(1/2) > >>

M1K3:
Just the other day, my friend gave me his Sansa Fuze v2. It worked well. I decided to install Rockbox on it after another friend showed his to me. I installed it after figuring out how to do it and it worked fine for a couple of hours. When I set it down on my kitchen table, it was working fine. When I came back, I noticed that it turned off. I tried turning it back on and it was unresponsive. I then researched the topic but resetting it was all I could do (I wasn't planning on taking it apart.) I held the power switch up for numerous times and it was always unresponsive. After about 1 1/2 days, it cut on, but it barely loaded the firmware before it cut off and was unresponsive. It still is unresponsive and can't be charged or show up on my computer. I really would appreciate any help that you guys can give, Thanks.

It took a total of four days before mine would even charge. That's the only thing I can offer.

With headphones on, hold the power button for ~90 seconds or until you hear a click.  Then power back on.  The player is probably on right now but locked up.  It takes a long time to power off when stuck in this state.

@BI0906BMXK, This seems to work, but not all the time. I don't know if my battery is dead or not half the time. Is this the only way to make it work?

BI0906BMXK:
You should probably update your player to the latest version http://download.rockbox.org/daily/sansafuzev2/rockbox-sansafuzev2.zip.  Locking up and requiring the "long power-off" is not normal.
