It seems like this unit might have a bootloader USB mode.  What happens if you do these things:
1.    Turn off the player (Original Firmware).
2.    Connect your Vibe 500 to the computer using the data cable.
3.    Push and hold Power (for about 2 seconds) until the “USB” screen appears.

Hopefully, this will get your device connected in MSC mode.

If you can get it in MSC mode as suggested above, you should be able to install Rockboy stable or go back to the old firmware following the Packard Bell instructions.

thank you for your quick response, but I have a problem with downloads of utilities that I need to leave the factory straight out of mp3, I mean the original firmware, and especially an application that asks me to update the firmware in the instruction manual comes to me as I should and I put a link packard bell that no longer exists, not if you can help me get everything I need for making the point mp3

I'm sorry but I don't understand.  Could you try rephrasing?

I apologize for my English, I use the translator of google .... I am spanish.despues of the tips mentioned above for these dear colleagues, I've tried everything from zero again, but when you start the mp3, I still say the same message,PLEASE CHECK THE HDD, I have no access to Packard Bell website because the address is missing, in the original instruction manual tells me to install a tool that I can update the firmware because  there's not internet address I can not download anything ... I don´t know install the original firmware, and not access the system folder, I think that folder has disappeared ...

Are you able to remove Rockbox?

Does the original firmware give the same error if Rockbox is removed?

Hi.

It looks like something went wrong with the bootloader install process.

Could you please try to connect once again in MSC mode, explained by Chronon?

The system folder may be hidden by default. You may need to activate "Show hidden files and folders" if you're on Windows. If there is no SYSTEM folder you can create it normally.

Then you have two options:
1) Download http://download.rockbox.org/bootloader/vibe500/jukebox.mi4 and put it in the SYSTEM folder - Rockbox should run if you didn't erase the .Rockbox directory.
2) Download  - http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/pub/Main/PackardBellVibe500Port/JUKEBOX.mi4 and put it in the SYSTEM folder. The OF should run.

EDIT: If it won't help try to reformat your player (you may have some disk errors) and then make a SYSTEM folder and restore OF (solution 2).
