DOOM (mostly) WORKS NOW!!!
(1/1)
sss:
I don't use it much but it's a nice thing to have on trains, etc.
I'm running r26941 but I think what's really different here is that I've switched over to the eabi toolchain instead of the old toolchain. Take note of that fellow users!
Not tested on my nano 1G again, only on my Sansa Fuze V1 (which had different issues than the nano). Random data aborts appear to be gone. Now SOMETIMES during saving I will get several failure to allocate errors followed by a different data abort, but this sounds a like the thing telling me the Fuze should have had more than 8mb of RAM ;). Instead of crashing somewhere in TNT LVL 1 or two now, I've gotten straight to LVL 5 (at which point I ran out of time and had to quit ;D). Saves are fast but loads take a little while.
BTW The rockdoom game behavior is pretty weird (the following is exclusive to rockdoom and does not happen in normal PrBoom):
*Only the first demo of a iwad will play, it will stop at the end there instead of playing the rest of the included demos.
*Attempting to load an invalid savegame or savegame from a different iwad during a demo will allow you take over the demo as if it was your game (but it won't let you save even if you complete the level(s) because it still thinks it's the demo playing.--Don't fix this one, it's a useful bug
*Savegames from PC PrBoom do not work in Rockdoom
*A few other quirks I can't think of right now...
Good work
saratoga:
The new compiler uses memory a little more efficiently, so more is available for Doom.
