Hide a specific folder (search is no help)

(1/1)

bee:
I cannot find the topic I referred to over a year ago.  I have looked and looked for a few days with no luck.  Hopefully someone can help me.

I got hit by a car and busted up my old ipod, so I found another old 4th gen.

I have tried to PERMANENTLY delete the ipod_control folder of my 20GB 4gen grayscale ipod to no avail.  I've given up on that, but what I'm trying to do is just hide the folders "ipod_control" "Notes" "Calendars" "Contacts".

I remember there's a specific file to put in each folder and Rockbox will ignore it, but that's what I can't find.
All help is appreciated.

Chronon:
The iTunes_Control folder is normally hidden by default.  If you set "Show Files" to anything other than "All" it shouldn't appear in the file browser.

Regarding hiding folders, I believe you're referring to database.ignore causing the database scanner to ignore the files in a given directory.  This is a totally different matter.

Thank you ... I couldn't remember "database.ignore"
