Working with a sansa e280v2 unit using e200v203.01.16a bootloader file as base file.

current 3.6 sansae200v2 missing rockbox.mi4, when it restarts its looking to load this file.

check sansae200 zip and its in that zip.

tried archived and current builds as well with the rockboxutility.  None work.

Currently looking for older build (3.5.x) to confirm, as I did have 3.5.1 on it before I updated.  Noticed it kept booting up to 3.5.1 after the upgrade.

funman:
e200v2 uses rockbox.sansa file, e200 (v1) uses rockbox.mi4

So, no problem, just install the e200v2 release and you will be OK

Really getting odd, its now running as  v1.  When I let it auto detect it sees v1 but when it comes up to the point of installing it says mismatch v2 target v1 selected.   But when I change can't find the file.

Sansa updater installs a v1 firmware.  Says 8g and e280v2 on the back but guess that means nothing from research I have read.

When I put 3.5 on it all went real quick.

Any 100% way of telling what version this really is?  I missed checking the factory settings when I first got it couple of months ago.

Thanks I'll look this over in detail when I get in this evening.

If I have screwed something up, my first question if anyone has seen or know of the possibility of running v1 firmware on a v2.  I understand the inverse would not be possible.

Placing a bin file in root has no effect, it ignores it.  But if I have somehow pushed v1 firmware into v2 I might be stuck

Maybe I'm one of the lucky folks that has a v1 with a v2 back ;)

Removing back cover did not reveal anything..
