Syncing AAC files through WMP
« on: June 15, 2010, 04:19:30 PM »
Edit: Nevermind, search is my friend.. |<< on plugging in USB resolved issue.

Now another question.. ;)

Rockbox supports AAC, Samsung firmware doesn't - any way to force e.g. Windows Media player to allow AAC files without converting?

Thanks!

Please don't reuse topics. The topic description doesn't give any hint what your problem is, decreasing the likelihood of people actually reading (and / or answering) it. Also, your question is not related to Rockbox Utility in any way. If you have a different questions start a new topic.

You won't be able to do that with MTP mode until we have a working USB stack and MTP stack for the Clip.  Currently we have neither, although both are in progress.

You could try setting your player to MSC mode.  I have no idea if WMP will sync AAC files to an MSC device (and if it can be made to you may need some third party expansion), but you can try.  Probably your best bet is to just not use AAC if you want to use WMP.
