Can't mount Sansa e200
(1/1)
kc0dxf:
I picked up 3 rebuilt Sansa e200s. One of them is a v2 and the others are both v1. I cannot get them to mount on Linux or Windows. On linux they are recognized but no device is assigned. On both Windows XP and Windows 7, they will mount but no drive letter is assigned. I can copy files to them in windows but when I try to install Rockbox I cannot use the auto installer or the manual method because there is no drive letter assigned.
Any ideas on how to get around this?
evilnick:
Are the USB settings set to MSC mode in the OF?
kc0dxf:
Looks like that was it, thanks!
Oh shoot, I don't see a USB mode setting in the v2 of. Is there a way to set it in v2?
evilnick:
I haven't used a v2 of this player personally, but according to the manual: http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-sansafuzev2/rockbox-buildch2.html#x4-60002 you should be able to change the USB settings.

If I remember correctly, you need to update your OF to get MSC mode. Without upgrading, I think if you turn on the hold switch and press and hold select while plugging in the USB cable it will force MSC mode.
