Nano 2G bricked after rockbox? (fixed)
« on: June 13, 2010, 03:45:45 AM »
Yeah I know it's unsupported (I think I saw that one too many times while trying to find a solution).

summary
- entered DFU mode on ipod (guess that damages firmware in some way)
- reset/installed rockbox, worked fine
- few days later, itunes tells me to restore
- restore fails/along with consecutive attempts (error 1439)
- windows tries to format ipod each time i connect (after restore attempt)
- ipod loads up white screen of death each time i turn it on and goes to disk mode when usb is connected

edit: looks like installing itunes on my laptop and restoring it from there seems to have worked out
