I offer the suggestion to not address requests to me personally. There are a lot of other persons browsing these forums.

Ok, tried a number of builds and same problem.  However, the fault was not with Rockbox I believe. It would seem that the album had become corrupt (never happened to me) - it was also skipping/going silent in the original firmware.  I upgraded to the latest patched firmware (.33) using the new bootloader from 6 June.  I then deleted the album and copied it again from my hard drive.  So far (fingers crossed) everything is fine.  I have become so used to the last month of having Rockbox so stable on Fuze v2 that today's problems made me panic a bit. Rockbox is so superior to the stock firmware that I really did not want to have to go back.

Thanks

It sounds like a damaged file system.   It's possible you still have a damaged file system.  If I was in this position I would scan the file system to be sure it doesn't contain errors.  Writing to a damaged file system can result in further damage.
