Sansa Clip+, r26684 - no charging
Sauron:
Hi,
Since Sansa development thread is now close (why?!) Just wanted to mention ;) that rockbox still cant charge battery of SC+. On battery debug screen (while USB plug on) Pwr status: discharging, charger: absent (but skin shows "plugged in" icon). I'm not quite sure (since i'm new with sansa and rocbox - for last few years i'v used iRiver H320+Rbx) but previous release has shown "charging" icon (and animated battery) but with no real charging process...
Gladly will answer more question - if asked :)

Because development is now quite far advanced, at least to the stage of many other ports. The New Ports forum is intended for early experimentation only. Development should take place on IRC or the dev mailing list, not on a single forum thread. User support should be in the main forums on in IRC.

I do believe the correct behavior is to reboot into the OF on detection of usb. Has it never worked or did it just stop working (I'm using r26634 here because it hasn't crashed yet and I haven't seen anything earth shattering on svn relating to the clip+)? Does it reboot on plugging in usb?
If I recall correctly, mkamsboot 1.2 (the current release) won't do this correctly, you need to compile it from svn and then patch a new firmware. Works on mine.

Current version is 1.3 and should now work as far as I know.

Hi,
Plugging USB does NOT reboot Clip. Previous version of RB did only change icon to charge (animated charge icon) - but i believe it did not charged clip for real (but i did not tested it to be sure).
Version r26684 now, when plugged in USB, shows large USB icon - like with normal data transfer connection on my previous h320 - on Linux side I can see two USB devices, but not fully registered (I can't mount them). Debug screen for battery shows (like I wrote before) - no charger and discharging.
I don't know what version of mkamsboot is on my Clip (i'v installed it about month ago) - is there a way to check this out?
