Ipod Video Large HD Reboot/Shutdown Solution
« on: June 06, 2010, 04:11:40 PM »
Didn't see a Wish list area so I thought I'd throw this out here. Please move if not appropriate forum. I would like to be able to reboot or shutdown thru Rockbox and not having to hold down any buttons waiting for the system to respond. With the larger drives, it takes longer for the responce from the system. In test builds I have seen the option to shutdown and in ROLO their is an option to reboot. Have lost two Ipod's to center button compression.

The time to hold the play button is fixed and the same for all iPods. Having a large drive doesn't change anything.

No you haven't, they were unsupported builds made by other users.  There is not going to be a menu shutdown option.  The menu is cluttered enough without options for things that already have a dedicated button.
