Fuze v1 recording freeze in 3.6

I recently wrote a new theme and found a problem with the recording function.  When testing the theme, the Fuze V1 froze on the recording screen when in mic mode....works fine in radio mode.

I thought that this was an sbs error but it seems that it may be something in 3.6 which is causing it.  I confirmed this by using the cabbiev2 theme and the same problem occurs.  Here is the scenario:

Rockbox 3.6 c/w r26569-100605
cabbiev2
recording source: microphone

When I access the recording screen the screen freezes after about 6 seconds and the only way to get out is to power down/up the Fuze.  This occurs when using the scroll wheel or selecting the record function or just doing nothing.

This does not occur using 3.5 or the simulator for 3.6 .......  record mode for microphone works fine.

This seems to be a hardware/release problem.  Since I use the record function for microphone and not for radio, this is an important feature for me.

I have tried recording on fuzev1 just before releasing 3.6, it worked for at least 20 minutes (where I stopped the recording).

Does it happen if you record FM, or if you move your config.cfg to use default settings?

I reloaded 3.6 on the Fuze V1 and tried a couple of things:

1. selected rockbox_default theme:

FM radio records fine for this and other themes.

Mic does not record and locks up the Fuze in about 6 seconds.  This is the same no matter what you do in the recording screen; no action, scroll wheel, record, etc.

2. Settings/Manage Settings/Browse .cfg Files/config (attached)

Same result.....I assume that this is the default config.cfg file.

3. Deleted the config.cfg file (# .cfg file created by rockbox r26569-100605 -
).  Rebooted the Fuze V1 and got the same results....locks up when recording in microphone mode using the default settings (I believe).

I checked the root and found no config.cfg file there, so I assume that the rockbox_default.cfg file (attached)  is loaded).

I thought you might like to know I get exactly the same problem with rockbox v3.6 on my fuze v1. The device freezes a few seconds into a recording and I have to switch off and restart. I have manually installed v3.5 and this records as expected.

Thks for getting back.

I was starting to think there was a problem with my Fuze.

I installed 3.5.1 and the recording function works fine.

I am going to stay with 3.5.1 until I see a fix posted for the recording function.
