iAudio m3L - unable to un-install rockbox + SEVERE SOUND PROBLEM

(1/1)

Shinichirou:
Hi, folks.

I have just discovered this forum. Hope you might help me. 'cause I lost all hope.

Until today I have been a proud owner of an iAudio m3L player.
someone told me about rockbox...I installed it using the automatical installation...

At first it worked just fine. But when I wanted to listen to some radio a big issue came up:

Now I have a severe problem with the "sound".

During playback you will hear rather load and very distinct "tttttt ttt tt t ttt tt "- like clicking sound...Also when I navigate and press buttons, this "tttt ttt ttt ttt t" sound will appear. It is just so disturbing.

I have tried to remove rockbox in many ways, but it just says the same lines: bootloader missing or something along these lines and shuts down.

Is there a way to return to the original iAudio m3L firmware?

I would really appreaciate your advice.

Thank you.

saratoga:
Wiki says the M5 manual works for the M3 (which doesn't have a complete manual yet):

Domonoky:

To completly remove Rockboxs bootloader, you have to use the normal firmware upgrade mechanism with a unmodified original firmware. You can probably find instructions on how todo that on the iAudio website.

Shinichirou:
Thanks all.

@Domonoky: Thank you so much. It really did work!

By the way, anyone some thoughts about this strange clipping noise that I have had trouble with?...
