rockbox bootloader say "no ipods found, aborting" on Ipod 80gb

Hi, I'm desperate! I just bought an Ipod 80GB and I can't install Rockbox. I opened my Ipod in disk mode put in the root the file ".rockbox" but when I run the bootloader it does not recognize the ipod. Besides, the ipod is recognized by Itunes & Windows (in disk mode). Please help.

Is the iPod a 80gb 5th generation or iPod classic(6th generation) 80gb?

Classic is not supported.

You got it. I just realized I have 6th generation. Reading Rockbox, I was thinking there was only one version of Ipod 80GB. I'm good to resell it. Thanks for your mail. Regards!
