Not possible to install Rockbox on my Sansa e260 v2

(1/2) > >>

Wydenbrook:
Hello,

some important information: i have Windows XP with Service Pack 3
Rockbox Utility detected my MP3-Player: Sandisk Sansa e200v2 Series (stable)
here is my problem:

i have a Sandisk Sansa e260v2 with the latest firmwareversion. (Its the right one)
When i start the Rockbox Utility i click the button "Complete Installation".
The programm says -he need to install first the bootloader, i have to give him the firmware-file.
Okay, i gave him the datafile --> "e200pe.bin" (its the right one, too)

Then it came the errormessage:

"checksum mismatch in"

H:/DOKUME~1/Admin/LOKALE~1/Temp.......

"could not loaded"

then the rockbox aborts the installation.  :(

i checked all needed files. There are all the right one and the right versions.

can anybody help me ? I really don't know how to get on. I have Admin-Rights.

sorry for my english, i live in Germany.

maybe it could help here are the System Trace info:

bluebrother:
The System Trace unfortunately doesn't show anything unusual (did you restart Rockbox Utility before creating that trace?). However, this sounds like the bootloader download failed. Please clean the cache (in the configuration dialog, go to "Cache" and press the "Clean cache now" button) and try installation again.

Wydenbrook:
for better understanding, i attached 2 Photos below.

to clean the cache did not change anything.  :(
i thing Rockbox download the bootloader while the installation begins, maybe the file is defect? (checksum mismatch)

i have downloaded the bootloader manually to my computer in a folder too, but the installation-progress is full automatically.
i gave him the correct firmware-file "e200pe.bin" (European version without FM)
Then it comes the errormessage (Photo number 2)
no possibility to give Rockbox manual the path to search. (the bootloader file)

That's strage. What's even more strange is that the picture you posted clearly shows that the bootloader file is retrieved from the cache, so it's definitely present there. However, this shouldn't be the case after clearing the cache. Just to make sure, you got a "Do you really want to delete the cache" dialog and confirmed with Yes?

Yes, that's what I'm thinking. However, if the file is in your local cache that will get used as there is no way for the download process to figure if the file in the cache is corrupt or not.

Yes, and that is intentional. Unfortunately detecting corrupt files during download isn't handled. I still think that this is your problem.

No.

Wydenbrook:
@bluebrother

thanks for your Answers.

I am sure. There came this question: "Do you really want to delete the cache?" I clicked "yes".

If you or somebody other have an idea to solve this problem. Post it here please, anytime. Today, tomorrow, next week....whenever.
