C200 Died, Most Weird Problem Ever!
Chronon:
Are you sure your player is in Manufacturing Mode when you execute this? e200tool won't work with Recovery Mode, so there's no use in using that.
There's a mention that the procedure for getting into Manufacturing Mode is different for the c200 at http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/e200.html
--- Quote from: http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/e200.html ---How to get into Manufacturing Mode on a C200:
* Power off
* Turn ON lock/hold
* Hold down DOWN button
* Insert USB cable or press menu/on while holding down button
--- End quote ---
This isn't mentioned in our wiki, so I'm adding it to the "Unbrick" page now.

Linux won't recognize the Sansa that way.
Any idea? Or should we give up on this :-\?

It does. Check lsusb as root, and you'll see it there

And yes, I don't stop pressing the DOWN button till I connect the USB cable to my laptop.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I'm experiencing the exact same problem: when I try connectibg in Recovery mode, the 16mb partition doesn't exist, no ums device appears. When I try Manufacturing mode, nothing happens, it doesn't show in lsusb. Also, there is no screen activity, just the BROD.
I've tried e200erase, but that hangs for over two hours.
Any help is appreciated.
