Sansa c240 w/Rockbox bricked... [fixed]

(1/1)

logic7:
two nights ago, I picked up my c240 which has RB installed and wend to charge it. I apparently left it on and the battery was all but dead, but it had just enough juice to allow me to hit a button to wake up the display and restart the track that was playing... Then it locked up hard.

I had plugged it into my little usb wall charger and nothing. Pulled the battery, waited a moment, then reinstalled it and plugged it into the wall. I get the Rockbox bootscreen (6.0) and it just hangs there. I've pulled the battery and it's been out for two days now and still can't get past the boot screen. My PC doesn't recognize it at all, so I can't reinstall RB or reflash it with the old OS.

HELP!!!!

yapper:
Try re-booting to the OF (power off, power on, then hold <<)

logic7:
switches to a text screen:

--- Quote ---Rockbox bootloader
Version: 6.0
Sandisk Sansa c200 ser
--- End quote ---

and just sits there.

saratoga:
Skimming the bootloader it looks like its hanging before you even get to the dual boot section, possibly during the disk init.  You could try recovery mode:

logic7:
recovery mode worked. Thanks!
