fuze v2 manual installation
djphatic:
Yes, I have put fuzpa.bin and .rockbox on the root of my player. I have no sdcard inserted so it is definately going onto the internal memory.
I have even grabbed an updated mkamsboot which I found on anythingbutipod which supports the latest sansa fuze firmware, though I still have the same issue. ???
funman:
If unmodified firmware doesn't cause an upgrade, perhaps your player has a problem.
Double check you downloaded the correct OF file for fuzev2, (this one for example) and contact Sandisk

Yep, I have triple checked and tried different OF.
When first updated the player I used the Sansa Updater utility rather than manual update, if that is of any significance.

Perhaps try to format the fuze from the OF menu and try again, so the partition layout is the original one (no partition, full disk formatted as fat32)
djphatic:
Apologies, I thought I was using the OF you just linked to but turns out I was using 02.03.31 for some reason.
The 02.03.33 firmware does not work with my version of mkamsboot but when I placed the OF fuzpa.bin and clpp_data.dat and unplugged the USB the firmware update worked.
I guess I need to get a version of mkamsboot which works with 02.03.33.
