fuze v2 manual installation

This sounds as if I'm going to brick my sansa.. Ok, I guess I'll just have to wait.

djphatic:
I have just got my v2 fuze, plugged in the usb and first thing I did was update the firmware and then try to install Rockbox. I have followed the instructions on the website and in the manual to do a manual install but whenever I unplug the USB all I get is "Refreshing your media".

The same thing happens even if I used a unpatched firmware, as I tried to downgrade to get rid of the EU volume limit in the latest version (I know I can get rid of this via factory reset and selecting rest of the world).

Has anyone got any suggestions how to force the firmware update?

saratoga:
Are you sure you have the firmware file named correctly for your specific player?  Trying to use either a misnamed firmware file, or a firmware for a different player then you own will cause that.

djphatic:
I have renamed the patched.bin to fuzpa.bin, which is the original filename from the original firmware.

In the system settings > info I have version as v02.03.33P

That sounds fine.  And you're putting it in the root of your player (e.g. "E:\fuzpa.bin") and not somewhere else?
