fuze v2 manual installation
nickdc:
i don't understand what to do here:
Run mkamsboot from the command line window you opened in the previous step, passing the name of the OF file you've downloaded and the the bootloader file you've downloaded, as well as a name you can chose yourself for the patched output file
(e.g. 'mkamsboot.exe fuzea.bin bootloader-fuze.bin patched.bin')
Retry or abort if it does not report success!
Copy the output file to the root of your device and rename it to whatever the OF file you've downloaded was named
any help?
(i've installed previous rockbox builds with a patched OF fuzpa.bin and .rockbox folder on root...is not the same?)

Sorry, but you're mostly on your own until the port is at least "unstable". Without official documentation, there's not much most of us can do to help you.

Patched OFs are not allowed to be distributed, because that would be a copyright violation. You have to download the OF from Sandisk and patch it yourself. Whoever gave you the patched file before was violating Sandisk's copyright.
The process is the same: you install by putting a patched OF fuzpa.bin and a copy of the .rockbox folder on the root. :)

well, but i wanted to install rockbox with new bootloader 2.0 following the wiki, as funman says here
http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=14064.msg166736#msg166736
only problem i got is that i don't understand this step of the wiki:
Run mkamsboot from the command line window you opened in the previous step, passing the name of the OF file you've downloaded and the the bootloader file you've downloaded, as well as a name you can chose yourself for the patched output file
(e.g. 'mkamsboot.exe fuzea.bin bootloader-fuze.bin patched.bin')

Do you know how to use a command line? I can't think how else to explain it: it gives an example of the command to use...
