Rockbox 3.5.1 almost unusable on my Archos Recorder V1!

Hi,

just tried to upgrade my good old AJR v1 from RB 2.5 to the current 3.5.1 release...

Results:

Playing MP3 works fine, but this seems to be the only working function... :-\

-I was unable to change the language to German (just nothing happened after selecting file)
-I was unable to playback RVF videos (just nothing happened after selecting file)
-I was unable to run a plugin (aka rock): Selecting one resulted in a system crash, showing a more ore less cryptic error message sometimes including a name of an internal function. I always had to restart the AJR after selecting a "rock".

Almost nothing worked... Did I make a mistake? Any tips?

Is your Recorder flashed with Rockbox? And how did you update exactly?

I just wonder if you need to update something else too but am not too sure about it yet and have to ask someone else before suggesting something.

I can assure you that all this works on my OndioFM with current builds (so even newer than r3.5.1).

I bootboxed the 3.5.1 without trying it before... ::)

Now I've downgraded to 2.5 again.

sounds like you didn't replace the .rockbox folder but only the firmware file.
