Fix lag on Rockboy
Goodyob:
I just got the latest simulator, and I couldn't find the option to change processor speed.
What I meant was to add a button that lets you overclock the processor so that it's fast enough for Rockboy...
torne:
The simulator doesn't have a processor, which is why you can't find any such button.
And the button in question just controls whether the CPU is boosted or not, and rockboy already sets the CPU to be boosted, so it won't help you anyway.
If you want to actually clock your processor higher than the boosted frequency we use (which is, generally, the fastest speed on a given platform which is actually safe or stable, since it works best that way), then you would have to modify the code yourself (and it's unlikely to be trivial, either; you will likely have to mess around with the entire clock setup of the device).
Goodyob:
So there's no possible way of having an overclock button without modding the whole thing? In that case, I think I'll just stick with the 09-09-09 edition...
torne:
As Llorean said, if you can track down which specific change made it perform worse, then someone might look into it and fix the problem.
Just claiming you need to "overclock" the processor to get it to work better doesn't really help...
Goodyob:
It was the first official release because they needed to slow the processor for MicroSD. I remember now because every time I checked the little chart for unstable releases, it always said that they had everything fixed except MicroSD, which supposedly corrupted because "we are currently running the processor's clocks way too fast". Right after they released the official edition, Rockboy started to be really slow, and the sound quality started being really bad.
If it helps, I still have the 09-09-09 edition's ZIP file (not the source code).
