iPod Nano Symmetry theme
binavik:
Can anyone help me get this theme working? I tried to install it like any other theme but it doesn't work.
[Saint]:
binavik,
Being the author of the theme...I certainly can help you with this ;)
Did you follow the note in the theme's description that mentions that you need to be running a current build?
As in: Not a "release" build (3.5/3.5.1 etc.)
Current builds for the Nano are located here:
iPod Nano 1st Gen
iPod Nano 2nd Gen
The problem is (I think) that there are at least two features that this theme uses that the current release does not include, this theme likely won't work with "release" builds until 3.6 is released.
I hope this helps you, please, check back here if this does not work for you, though I am almost positive that updating your build will fix this problem.
Thanks for your interest in the Symmetry theme,
[St.]
binavik:
You were right, I did need to update my build. I didn't think that would have been the problem because it was only about a week old.
[Saint]:
It must have been a tad older than that...
It's been working with current SVN for at least the amount of time since it was last updated 2010-04-03 ;)
It uses tags/syntax that were introduced into current svn sometime after the release of 3.5/3.5.1 and before the release of the theme.
I hope you like the theme, some further feedback would be nice.
I haven't had any user feedback really other than the fact that it has been downloaded ~1500 times or so now.

Hi [St.] Seeing as you are the author of Symmetry maybe you can help me.
I am loving the theme but I have a small problem with getting the album cover to show.
At present it is just showing what appears to be an empty cd case.
I have placed a .BMP of the covers in my appropriate album folders but they do not show in the theme.
The .BMP's I have placed in the folders are 100x100 pixels, are these the right size are do they have to be a certain size to show in the theme.
I have got an ipod nano 2nd gen if this helps.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards Brian.
: EDIT :
CANCEL THAT I've solved the problem, after using trial and error I converted the .BMP's to JPEG and now they all appear.
Thanks anyway for a top theme.
