Help Please with cowon d2 bootloader/firmware

Hi all, im a newbie here and im hoping to get some help very soon as ive been reading tech support on here but i am just getting more and more confused, anyway my question is that i have a d2 and have already upgraded the firmware to a d2+ 2.11 and i think i may have rushed doing this as my problem im having is trying to install rockbox latest version, and then i came accross another thread on here saying i have to install a previous version of rockbox 1st then upgrade to the new rockbox, is that true, anyway i can get rockbox onto my device cowon d2 now a d2+ 2.11 and do i need to download the real version firmware for this ie 3.59 as ive also tried that and it wont go onto the player, but i can install 3.10., 3.11, but it wont have the original version firmware, please advise me what to do as i basically want to have this still as a d2+ with any rockbox on it as i love it,

any links / help / download links please.....also could it be a bootloader problem now installing rockbox onto my 2.11 fiirmware original d2 now a d2+ ? if thats the case can anybody please advise me what to do and i may need help with this one ashopefully i dont have to have that tcctool as i cant use it, i do have windows 7 ultimate if that helps, this is just becoming more and more frustrating as i did originally have a d2+ a few mths ago and installed rockbox very easily,
