Sansa e200 Flash RAM
redblade8:
I used to have a sansa e250 with rockbox on it. I found a setting on it that let me add RAM to it , and made it 500MB. This made it much faster =P. I got rid of my sansa e250 , and now I have an e280. I havn't used rockbox for a while, and when I went to go look for the setting to give it some extra RAM, I couldn't find it, I looked all over the setting's page...Could someone please tell me where to find that setting?
Thankyou So Much !!! ^^

There was never a setting to add RAM. RAM is something physical.
Your post basically makes no sense. Please, stop and try to remember carefully what you actually did, and ask again. A tip would be to look at the manual, so that you can see what Rockbox really does do, and maybe figure out what you're confusing with RAM.

Erm...there was a setting for it...I could make the flash hardrive to be RAM for my mp3, much like virtual RAM for computers when you set an amount of space on your hardrive and use it as virtual RAM. I don't know where I found the setting on the mp3, but the default setting is like 256MB flash RAM when I had my e250 ( which I then set to 500MB. )

There has never been a setting like this. Indeed, the whole idea makes no sense on an audio player. Rockbox does not use, and never has, virtual RAM

Odd...not sure what I was changing then =s There was some sort of RAM setting , and I could change it to any amount ( 300MB, 500MB ) And for some reason it sped up my MP3... I am not sure what I did , or was changing? It was a long while ago...
