Directory Cache ?Might very well increase UI responsiveness.
I remembered where I changed it originally, it was in debug ( keep out! ) lol it is not there right now... ( maybe I smoked something funny that day or something even though I don't smoke, haha ) But ja, it doesn't seem to exist or anything or such. It was some sort of RAM value that I could change, and make biggeer...
I recently changed my e200's processor from 30mhz , 0 boost, to 80 mhz 18 boost. Is that recommended? Am I screwing myself over?
I suppose. But I also did not notice any difference in how my MP3 is working or anything...
That would make sense, but yes I was checking the battery ( its useful to know how long you have until your MP3 dies...) It didn't change really...
The "predicted remaining time" won't change, since that's based off of normal settings.
Your player automatically boosts for short periods when it needs to - turning it on all the time guarantees that your battery life will decrease unless for some reason you're always playing file formats it's too slow to decode even when boosting (something you wouldn't do, because your player would always be skipping).

When I had my e250 with rockbox on it, the remaining time ALWAYS would change every couple of seconds...so it was ALWAYS accurate ( my one with rockbox on it now doesn't do that...)

We don't expect people to deliberately decrease their battery life by pointlessly forcing the processor to full speed when it doesn't need to be.
Thats not what I meant =P lol re-read what I said. I was saying that I used to have rockbox installed on my e250 like 2 years ago, and the remaining time ALWAYS changed every couple of seconds(going up and down in battery time remaining). Now, on my e280, it doesn't change that much anymore...that sounded like a bug to me, since it doesn't give as accurate of battery time remaining anymore...
