Clock's Impact on Battery Life

Does the clock have an impact on battery life?  Will the battery drain when it's off because of the clock?

You mentioned a Clipv1 in another post.  Is that what you're asking about?

But yes, the clock does draw some insignificant amount of power when off (as do various other parts of the player).
