Embedded Album Art showing in some files ?

I know that rockbox does not support embedded album art and only the bmp or jpeg file in folder procedure. However, I have a couple of music files that have embedded album art and rockbox displays them. What puzzles me is why some show and not others. Even picture flow recognizes these files even though there is not a separate bmp or jpeg file in the folder. Any ideas whats going on here? (gigabeat F, Rockbox 3.5.1)

If you use Windows, there may be a hidden file added to you music folders. Rockbox may be finding this hidden file.

Thanks for the response. Why wouldn't all the music files produce the same hidden file if they have all been ripped and tagged the same way with the same program?  Strange..

This is done by Windows or Windows Media Player. It is done in the background after music is added to you system. It does not always find album art, but will sometimes replace existing album art with a different cover for the same album.
