Sansa e260 Rockbox WITHOUT the Original Firmware

I have a Sansa e260, and as the title implies, I want to be able to use rockbox as the players Main firmware. Is It possible to Install rockbox as the players main firmware instead of the Sansa's default?

What are you looking to accomplish with this? There aren't a lot of benefits to doing this.

You can replace the OF bootloader with Rockbox:

Of course if you do this, you will lose recovery mode entirely, so you would need e200tool to fix any mistakes.

I have used e200tool before so no probs there. I want to get rid of the OF because It isnt as good as rockbox. I like the way it sounds better, the usb support is better, the software is better.

You'll still have the OF, just not its bootloader.

None of that is really a great reason to get rid of having the OF as an option to dual boot into if something goes wrong with your Rockbox install, and you need to replace some files.
