h120 with 16gb cf card - recording glitch
(1/1)
dr.pheel:
hi,
I successfully modified my h120 with a 16gb cf card - so far I love all of it.
I now noticed though that I get glitches once in a while when recording (.wav - line in from a mixer)
has anybody noticed that so far - is there any known reason and a fix for that problem?
I will try to run some more tests in order to find out how often that happens (if there is any pattern time-wise)
thanks ph

Can you do speed tests to see what writing speed it manages? It could be the card is too slow.
Do you get warnings on the recording screen?
dr.pheel:
the card is x266, i think it should be fast enough - seems just a little slower than the hard disc was.
i made a 3h recording with no input sound to see if i get a glitch there, but there was nothing - i do think now that the mixing desk where i recorded twice might have had a problem and might have produced the glitch.
how would i do a speed test anyways?
petur:
266x is indeed more than fast enough (I'm using 133x IIRC)
I'd record from a source that you really can trust as glitchfree, just to verify...
