Album Artist Tag not being recognized
« on: April 16, 2010, 08:40:06 PM »
I just installed Rockbox 3.5.1 on my Ipod Video.
I tagged one album with the album artist tag, but it won't recognize it.
The database submenu album artist is just filled with the info from the artist tag, and when I choose Track Info on the WPS, it doesn't show an album artist tag either.
I also tried with a band tag, no luck again.
I'm using Exfalso to tag the mp3s.
What am I doing wrong?

You are putting the album art in as tags instead of as bitmaps or jpgs in the directory with your music.

See the Album Art section of the Manual

@Yotto: The OP is talking about the album artist tag, not album art images...

Ah. Sorry about that. My brain don't work so well.

As I don't use the database, I can't really answer the actual question. :(

Me neither...

@Psirus: Are you sure your program is saving the tags correctly? I've checked the track info from the WPS context menu on some of my MP3s and the Album Artist tag is showing up correctly for them here, so I'm not sure what exactly could be your problem if it's not showing up for you beyond your tagging program possibly not saving the tags correctly.
