Yeah, I just noticed that entry! Setting it to 3 got an unreadable white screen, so now I just have to calibrate until it's readable. Thanks for the help!

Edit:
I fixed the issue, but I actually don't think the contrast was the cause: it looks like I may have accidentally enabled a theme with color, which was being rendered in solid black since my model doesn't support color.

There are instructions in the manual for resetting the settings.
