Installation / Removal > Rockbox Utility
uninstall RB from sansa v2
(1/1)

I installed Rockbox using this method:
http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=sansafuse&thread.id=41302&view=by_date_ascending&page=5
It worked ok, but with alot of bugs. I decided to try and uninstall it.
I deleted the .rockbox file from my sansa, but the "fuzpa.bin" file is no longer showing up. I assume this is what is causing RB to try to run instead of the OF.
So now when I turn on the player, rockbox TRIES to load, but it cant find the firmware so it turns itself off within a couple seconds. I can get the OF to pull up by holding down the left button during start up, but I would prefer not to do this every time I start up the MP3 player!
I re-installed rockbox then tried using the rockboxutility to uninstall it, but that didnt work. I really should have just been patient/smart and waited for a stable version to show up for the Fuze v2.

To remove the bootloader again, you just have to install a unmodified original firmware again. So download a fresh unmodified fuzepa.bin and put it on your player according to sandisks instructions to upgrade.
Thats just the way it works on this players, a stable build wont change that.

Thank you so very much! I kept reading that the player needs to be updated with factory firmware but the Sansa Updater was obviously no help as I already have the latest version! A little bit of googling got me the .bin file I needed and now it works flawless! Just dragged it into the root folder and bam! She works great now!
