Incompatible Version?
(1/1)
innocentagent:
Whenever I try and open any plugin or mpeg file, I get a message stating "Incompatible version".
What files do I need to update in order to access these files?
saratoga:
That usually means you installed part, but not all of, a version of rockbox. So the main binary is one version, but the plugins are a different version. Update rockbox and it'll go away.

What is the best way to update?
I just replaced the whole .rockbox file but I'm pretty sure that there is a better way... although my way seems to work
If you ned to know I have a Sansa e200

Also, sometimes plugins get renamed. For example, the mandelbrot plugin was renamed to fractals. Neither unzipping nor Rockbox Utility will remove the outdated file (though I want to change that for Rockbox Utility eventually), so if the old plugin is oudated enough you will get that error message.
