sansa e260 v2 - keeps reflashing orig firmware when connected to Comp
sporanox:
Rockbox flashed fine on e260v2. When I go to transfer files via usb, the firmware flashes back to the original Sansa. I have uninstalled the update utility. Any Clues?
Thanks,
sporanox

This is intentional so that you can put music on your player. See:
http://download.rockbox.org/daily/manual/rockbox-sansae200v2/rockbox-buildch3.html#x5-280003.1.3
(skimming that chapter of the manual might be a good idea if you're still confused about booting rockbox and the original firmware)
bluebrother:
Please explains what "flashes back" means and what "uninstalled the update utility" refers to. Rockbox boots into the original firmware on USB connect for releases. This is intentional and doesn't flash anything.
sporanox:
I originally had to update the firmware on the e260 in order to install Rockbox. I uninstalled the utility in case is what the etiology of the problem. I appears not to be.
So if I understand what you are saying. Every time I connect the e260 to my computer I need to run the rockbox install utility?
Thanks,
Sporanox
