How do you add songs to an ipod nano 2nd gen

Yes I read the manual and no I don't understand how to do it. I found the music folder and all of my music is in folders named F00, F01, and F02 and all of the songs have names like AXTF or QTAF. Do I just drag the .mp3 into any one of these folders and do I have to update it?

so can i make a folder called Track and drag my new mp3s in it and it will appear in the Track section of the Database?

They'll show up in Track folder in the file browser.  The database will organize them by file tags.

If you want to organize by folder, you should use the file browser.

Ok so I put them in a folder called songs, but the actual song doesn't appear in the database. How do i make it appear in the track section? I already tried hitting update now in the settings.
