Need Help

I have tried both manual and the utility app but i still cant get  rockbox to work it says
your config is invalid
then when i select my ipod destination it says no player selected even though i selected my ipod

Hard to say without more info, but some common problems:

Make sure your Ipod is Windows formated (FAT32), make sure you have root/admin privileges, make sure you can browse and write to the Ipod as a hard disk, etc.

Also, post the result from trying the manual install, or the Help ->Troubleshoot tabs in Rbutil.  Maybe someone will see whats wrong in them.

Also make sure you have a supported iPod

i have done all that it should work  but that is the message i get

What iPod do you have?  What is the face material / color?  What is the capacity?

Please post the output of the Help / Troubleshooting / System Info dialog in Rockbox Utility. Make sure the Ipod is connected before opening that dialog. You can copy from that dialog for pasting it.

Well, all of those information (except the color) would be obvious from the output I've asked about. Now we have someone speaking of a "Classic 5G" which simply doesn't exist -- there was never an Ipod Classic 5G. Besides, if it's a Classic (i.e. 6G) Rockbox Utilities autodetection should have displayed a warning.
