install ipod 4g color photo 20 gb

rock boxs detected the ipod
but when i tried to install the boot loader it said "could not open ipod"
 and i don't know how to open ipodpatcher for linux and windows "wine" :o

Assuming you're on linux, and that you're using rbutil, try using sudo or running as root.

what is rbutil?

saratoga:
One of the two possible installers you could have used.

potato_head:
tried to install it on root but it said the same thing
