Sansa C250 Internal Memory Fail

You can't see any information in Windows, it says I/O error

If you try to format in DOS you receive IOCTL call

You can't format with the internal application, it frozen, don't finish and minutes later turn off.


WITHOUT EXTERNAL SD MEMORY:

Memory 038860801 MB
Free -2130132329 MB

Recordings 0

When an external SD is installed the c250 unit reboot by the SD and now shows:

WITH EXTERNAL SD MEMORY:
System Info
Version 01.00.04A
Memory 1938 MB
Free 1909 MB
Songs 0
Recordings 0

The unit works perfectly well with the external SD but you only have access at the information on the SD memory

How can you reformat the internal memory without cause any more trouble ?

The instructions on http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaC200Erase should work, unless you actually have a hardware issue.
