I'm new to the forums but I've been a loyal Rockbox user for a long time now.
I finally decided to register on the RockBox forums and I have something interesting to report.
I have a nice quiet professional IMAP email which I typically use only for business. I decided to use this email to register on the forums a few minutes ago.
At the exact moment that I hit the submit button, both my Rockbox password confirmation email thingy and a phishing email claiming to be UPS with a trojan inside hit my box.
Because the receive time was the same exact second in the log, I have suspicion to believe that maybe it's possible that someone is somehow leeching registration data from users.
I can guarantee that my PC is clean and I can also attest that my little private email only receives about 2 or 3 emails a week so this is highly unusual. I have a great firewall and surf the web sandboxed most of the time.
Anyhow I thought I would report it like a good forum member.
If the administration wishes I can send the email to be examined.
Otherwise, have a nice day. I'm headed over to the feature thread to complete my mission.
