pitch modification as a setting on .cfg files
« on: March 30, 2010, 06:33:45 AM »
Hi all,
this request born firstly as a workaround to correct sansaAMS "flat" pitch, but it can be useful to any other uses like speed-up spoken podcasts (maybe integrated with time-stretching option too).
IMHO there's no need of some visual alert of pitch modification enabled, because if you use this setting you have modified a config file, so you know how to switch back (maybe through a single line .cfg file).
There is some work already done on (abandoned)FS#8521, but the approach seems to be confusing and redundant.

More interestingly could be making some comparation with RB patched with FS#10906 (sansaAMS specific) and this new setting (universal), talking about runtime or different sampling rates.

By the way, there are soooooo many available settings, why not adding this one?

I'm not sure I understand, but basically you want a way to make pitch modification persistent after reboots?  Can't we already do this?

Exactly; I read the manual and it seems there's no setting for pitch changing in "custom config file", am I wrong?

thanks for interest.
