Rockbox on a HFS+ and FAT32 iPod

(1/1)

tobix10:
Hi,
I've partitioned my iPod:
-Apple Partition Map
-25GB Music (HFS+)
-4.85GB ROCKBOX (FAT32)
[ Really, and its working  ;D ]
Everything like Apple OS, Linux is working, but when I try to load Rockbox from my FAT32-Partition I get the Error:  "Err: open failed"
Maybe its my fault because I don't know which partition I should choose in the config or Rockbox couldn't been loaded from an Apple-PartitionMap FAT32. :-[ ???

Llorean:
It sounds like you're using some other bootloader than the Rockbox bootloader, in which case you should ask the provider of that bootloader for help.

torne:
Rockbox does not understand Apple partition maps, only IBM PC MBR partitions. It cannot read HFS partitions either, so while it will *work* with a disk that has non-FAT MBR partitions (it ignores them) it can't access them either.
