Sandisk Sansa E200 v2: Prevent Database building on USB disconnect
(1/1)
Jackie78:
Hi,
I am having an eye on the development for quite some months, and I'm so happy that Rockbox is finally available for v2-Sansas now, thanks to all people involved in the development, I installed it and I'm learning how to use the features right at the moment.
There is one thing that's a bit annoying: when you connect the Sansa via USB to a computer, it does not show Rockbox, but the original Sandisk firmware instead. Okay, that's not the bad part, but when you copy some files to the player and then disconnect from USB, Sandisk firmware starts to synchronize its internal database, which takes FOREVER if you have a lot of files on the player.
Is there any way to prevent automatic rebuilding of the database on USB disconnect, since I don't use the Sansa firmware anyway.
Thanks alot

About the only thing you can do is to hold the power button when disconnecting the USB cable. After about 10 seconds, it will power off.
