FSM Theme
« on: March 16, 2010, 08:33:07 PM »
Trying to figure out where I screwed up on the FSM theme.... I tested it a hundred times before uploading it and it worked I did mess up the cfg wps font by adding .fnt after the .fnt with a mass replace in Notepad++ but that doesn't seem to be the problem now... It was working and is still working in the simulator with all fonts having .fnt removed in the code kinda of odd but ok.

It seems broken with 3.5.1 I had to reinstall rockbox and opted to install the theme again from the site and it refuses to work again I am guessing 3.5.1 changed something that broke it but I have no clue what any help would be appreciated so I can get it fixed and re-uploaded.... also tried taking the new rockbox version and putting it in the simulator and it worked fine so I am at a loss.

You can't take a new Rockbox version and "put it in the simulator."

The simulator doesn't use the same files as normal Rockbox. You need to make the simulator from the exact same version code as you wish to test with, otherwise you aren't accomplishing anything.

for which target is this?
when it is already on the theme site you can hover your mouse over the red text that says it doesn't work anymore and it gives you the error message.

It's for the iPod Video.. the site lists it as working and I built the simulator from the svn and its working in it but I just had to reinstalling Rockbox on my iPod and it is broken... I removed it completely the bootloader and all from my iPod reinstalled and the theme still doesnt work.

To sum it up

Theme Site: Says its working
Simulator: Working
SVN Simulator: Working
3.5.0 on my iPod: Was working
3.5.1 now on my iPod: Broken and I have no freaking clue why gahhhh

The theme site claims it's only working with "Current Build" and does not say it works with 3.5 / 3.5.1

Considering 3.5.1 changed nothing about how themes work as far as I know, are you sure it was 3.5 you had installed when it worked?

That theme did initially work with release 3.5 (or 3.5.1), but it was updated later and now uses multifont, so it works only with current builds.

pretty sure I used the stable build not that long ago and it worked...

Edit:
@audio-i
Well I guess that is it... I did add multi-font but could have swore I was using it on 3.5 because I just did the basic install on my iPod with the stable build and it was working fine guess I updated it at some point and don't remember doing so.... sorry bout that this thread can be deleted didn't know multi-font wasn't supported under 3.5-3.5.1
