GIGABEAT F10
« on: March 16, 2010, 02:47:30 PM »
So, I'm such a fanatic of Rocbox, I'm always using it!
The sad thing is that my Rockbox doesn't respond anymore like it used to.
When I turn it on it says It says:

Rockbox boot loader
Version 3.0
Loading filmware
File not found

Like, I guess there is a problem with the bootloader but I do not know how to remove it. PLEASE HELP!

*& I don't think this is where the topic is supposed to be but I think its the hardware that has a problem.

Thankss. ;]

The actual build is missing.  Plug it into USB then turn on (this will get you bootloader USB mode), then unzip a new build to it, or use Rockbox Utility.

If it is doing this having worked before, it may be disk corruption - in Windows try running chkdsk in bootloader USB mode.

Alright. I see where you're getting at. :) Thank you.

By unzipping do you mean installing Rockbox again because one day I tried to add Rockbox and then remove it so it could remove completely off my Gigabeat but it did not work.

Rockbox builds are delivered in zip files.

Unzipping means to extract the content of that zip file to your F10.

If you tried to remove it then you probably only removed the main Rockbox build and not the bootloader.  Therefore the bootloader cannot find Rockbox, giving you the exact error you quoted above.  Either install a new build, or see the manual for how to fully uninstall.
