Ipod Nano 2G ogg and database issues
TheSeven:
OK so you can say for sure that it's an issue on the *reading* side of things, not writing?
And yes, that's the information I wanted. Apparently a 4GB nano with 2 of those weird 8320-block chips.
limarus:
I think reading, because I wasn't rewriting songs all the time they were the same.
And now I see that my error was another i was saying about bank 1 block 3186 for remap.
TheSeven:
yes, the bank and page number isn't really relevant here, it's only pointing to the block that it couldn't read, and you probably have lots of those. But if it's the read operation that fails, why always for the same data and not just randomly? I don't quite get it yet.
Edit: Please try the builds at http://www.file-upload.net/download-2338259/rockbox-nandworkaround.zip.html
TheSeven:
Discussion has moved to FS#11092, and it turned out that the problem didn't have anything to do with ogg or the database at all.
Closing.
