Question about backdrop

(1/2) > >>

Silverwolf:
Whenever I try to use a picture as a backdrop, it says "Backdrop Failed", the picture is saved as a .bmp file, it has the same  dimensions as the other backdrops, and the only difference that I can find with it is that it only 4.1 KB in size. Could the small file size be the cause?

GodEater:
Is the picture *really* a bitmap? Or is it a jpeg you've just renamed to .bmp from .jpg in the hope that some magical transformation happens when you do this?

iPodFoo:
Most backdrops are 69KB for me (on the ipod nano). I think the size you have is a 2 bit bmp. Try resaving as 24bit. And check the wps or cfg is correctly pointing to the bmp filename. Hope that helps.

I saved the file as a Bitmap on my computer, and transfered it over my Fuze.

What program? It is possible to save one file type (say, a jpg or a gif) as "backdrop.bmp"

Also, check what iPodFoo said. The color depth could be causing you a problem.
