Sansa Fuze V1 USB and Monkeys Audio

(1/2) > >>

lefko:
Just got a 4g fuze from buy.com which was a v1.  There was a comment somewhere about it being random, but I asked a question and the response was v1 I ordered and got a v1 so theres another point of info...

Anyway, the USB charge work around I read about does not appear to be working on my rockboxed fuze (Holding down select while plugging in the USB).  This means I can not run rockbox with it plugged in at all as it reboots to sansa fw when USB is plugged in.  Is this really the case?  I seem to remember that on the e2xx series, the previous version of the fw where USB did not work I was able to get rockbox running when it was plugged in.

Also, I would have expected that it would be able to handle monkeysaudio, since it supports video, but it works the same as my e250 which is a pause about ever second or so.

That should work. I don't have a fuze though, so I can't test here.

What compression level are you using? I'd expect monkeysaudio to play correctly up to -c3000 (i.e. "high")

If rockbox is already booted, that'll work.

If the device is off, plugging usb will ALWAYS boot OF, no matter which buttons you press.

So the procedure is: Power on, boot rockbox, keep center button pressed, plug USB

I'm having the same problem.
I have a v1 fuze with the latest Sansa OF and Rockbox 3.5.
With Rockbox booted up on the Fuze, I plug in the USB cable while holding down the select button on the Fuze and it switches over to the Sansa firmware? Is this a bug in the 3.5 Rockbox?
