Hiyo.

I changed the color of cabbiev2 to blue from yellow and updated the .CFG and .wps file to follow the theme guide lines.

I was wondering if I'm allowed to upload it to themes.rockbox.org as cabbiev2 blue.
does doing this go against any copyright cabbiev2 has? I don't want to upset anyone.

I see cabbiev3 and cabbiev2.1 mod but I still want to ask first.

Theme is for iPod Nano 2g.

It shouldnt be a problem, since all of the themes on the site are under the creative commons license. Others have done similar things to themes in the past.

I was wondering how to take a screenshot of an iPod, is there a program that plays iPod on the computer? or do I have to use photoshop?

I believe Cabbie v2 is actually GPL licensed (as it's an official part of Rockbox), but either way you are allowed to make modifications to it and post the modified theme to the theme site.

If you download a simulator from here (assuming you're using Windows), you can take any screenshots you like with the F5 key. the only thing you'll need to do is open them in Photoshop and save them as PNG files with appropriate names.

Thanks, I was able to take screenshots. When I go to the submit your theme page its says "WPS screenshot" what exacly is it asking for? a screenshot of the WPS file?

Sorry i've never made a theme before or messed with wps.

It is asking for a screen shot of the screen that is visible while music is playing (WPS = While Playing Screen), like the ones here, for example:
